Dan is a thought leader and pioneer of data warehousing. He invented Data Vault and complete Data Vault 2.0 methodology of Business Intelligence. He has built transactional and analytical systems for federal government and commercial enterprises for more than 25 years. He understands the needs, structures and priorities of clients, providing sound expert advice tailored to their business scenario.
Dan’s professional history includes projects with federal governmental organizations. The goals of these projects was sourcing unstructured data from several contradicting systems, organizing the data, and deriving valuable information from it using massively parallel processing (MPP) platforms. He holds a bachelor degree in computer science from California State University-Chico. Dan is Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Scalefree where he sets the technology direction of consultancy.
Michael has more than 15 years of experience in Information Technology. Specifically, the last eight years he has been working business intelligence topics like OLAP, dimensional modeling, and data mining. He has consulted for a number of clients in the automotive, insurance, banking, and non-profit fields. In addition, he has consulted for government organizations in Germany on Business Intelligence. His work includes research on massively parallel processing (MPP) systems for building artificial intelligence (AI) systems for the analysis of unstructured data.
After realizing the value of Data Vault 2.0 to the business intelligence industry, he partnered with Dan Linstedt to distribute the knowledge of Data Vault 2.0 within the industry. He loves research, teaching, and business development. Michael holds a diploma (FH) from the University of Applied Sciences in Bingen (Germany) and a Master of Science in Information Systems from Santa Clara University in Silicon Valley, California.
Michael is Chief Executive Office (CEO) of Scalefree where he is responsible for the business direction of the company. In addition, Michael teaches business intelligence at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Hannover, Germany.
